During weeks 2/3/4 each class was given an opportunity to 'speed date'. 30 new books were chosen with the reading ages and interests of the children in mind. They were laid out so that the students could move easily from one book to the next: they read the blurb, assessed the cover, flicked through the pages and gave the book a rating out of 5.
